Document: AML and Customer Identification Notice Version: 2.1.0 Effective date: 29 July 2026 Last updated: 29 July 2026
Identity identification and verification are carried out for transactions of TRY 185,000 or more, connected transactions whose total reaches that amount, and suspicious transactions regardless of amount. Identification is also performed without regard to amount when a continuous business relationship is established or when the adequacy or accuracy of previously obtained identity information is in doubt.
The order request is recorded first. Where identification is required, the Seller requests the necessary identity information and supporting documents from the customer. Until identification and verification are completed, the requested transaction is not approved or completed and the product is not prepared or dispatched. The requested documents must be supplied within 3 business days following notice unless a different reasonable period is stated. If identification cannot be completed, the transaction is not carried out and any amount already received is returned through the appropriate payment channel.
Identity and verification records, transaction documents, notices and review records are retained for eight years from the statutory starting date and are submitted to authorised bodies when legally requested. Suspicious transaction reports and information about whether a report has been made are confidential.
